WE SURVIVED THIRD YEAR

June 12, 2008 IB Student 1 comment

..barely…

Lamentations

Now I shall lament how I won’t see all my favourite teachers for another three months. This is the first year I didn’t have an absolute disdain for at least one teacher or class. I found all of my instructors to be likeable in spite of some downs.

Individually, classes in our School’s IB don’t have that much work. (NoboruFails and IAmMagic would probably disagree). When you add them all up, however, the workload equates to something very, very, very heavy (in my backpack), and in my mind. This year, for some strange reason, I feel like the work was more manageable than 2nd year’s workload (also known as Pre-IB).

What Lies Ahead!

This being the summer before our (NoboruFails, IAmMagic) fourth and final year in IB, here are some things that are in store for us…

  1. COLLEGE APPLICATIONS, FINANCIAL ISSUES, and INTERVIEWS. Blargh. Not looking forward to these.
  2. CRAP, MAN, EE FINAL IS DUE. Oh shite.
  3. CAS completions. Meh, I need to complete the A part. The C and S are taken care of.
  4. MORE INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS. Blah.
  5. 21384723987 EXAMS IN MAY. Wonderful.
  6. TOK ESSAYS. Uhm…

Dear Season Of Painful Heat And Sunlight…

PLEASE.
COME.
SOON.

Although Summer Is Almost Here.
It’s Not Here Yet.
And It’s Irritating Because The Weather Is Wonderful Outside…
And I’m Stuck Inside Doing Hoework (Spelled That Way On Purpose)
And Getting Paler By The Minute.

Eventually I’ll Start Glowing In The Dark! (Again?)

Summer Is Like The Bright Light At The End Of The Tunnel.
But There’s A Crapload Of Zombies To Get Through And You’ve Only Got Five Shotgun Shells Left.

…And There’s Glass Shards On The Ground But Some Stupid Zombie Dog Decided To Eat Your Shoes.

Summer Lazin’

Oh yes. The beginning of June harkens the commencement of IB Student’s journey to lethargy. She is just about to wrap up the route that is called the Third Year of IB, but Father Time meanders slowly about on the road, while Mother IB wants to encumber her for as much as she can till the end of the road is in sight. So now I tarry on my devoirs…by writing on this blog…

So to be less cryptic, I was previously under the impression that the 2nd draft of my EE was due soon, but it’s not actually due until the next academic year. Which of course provides me with three additional months to work on it…

Ellipses are fun…

…time passes….

…homework waits to be done with…but the IB Student wishes to distract herself further.

Have you noticed? I changed the way I refer to myself from “they” to “her.” They is more universal, but I wish to specify that it is THIS PARTICULAR IB STUDENT who is procrastinating. I do not represent all IB Students. At least, not in this post. Or for that matter, ever (?).
